I am having problems with my Viessmann Vitodens 100 WB1A 18kW Heat Only Gas Boiler (Serial no.7179920501169106). It was fitted in October 2005.
There was a repeated F4 error in April 2016, which was fixed by the removal of the problematic 'flappy valve'. It was serviced on November 2017, and the matrix burner and fire proof blocks each end of the combustion chamber were replaced (badly crumbled!)
There have been no problems until about three weeks ago when the F4 error came back. The condensate syphon was cleaned, the electrode block and the ignition module were replaced and it was OK for a couple of weeks.
Now the F4 error has started again. Today, despite several resets, it will not restart at all.
I guess it is the control panel, which is only available on back order for £283+VAT. Or is there anything else to check?
A 12 years old boiler - is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?
