Looks like a great installation but its pretty grim aesthetically in my eyes. A lot of work and expense when a nicer flag would really transform it.
Nothing against you its the homeowners choice afterall but sometimes people need steered by the tradesman who often have more experience and a clearer idea of what it will look like once done.
Do you have issues with flag staining on budget 2x2's? I am seeing it occasionally with permenant white efflouresence type staining (Is definately not efflo) which i am told is caused by poor drying/curing techniques.
