Hello there, we have the same Britannia K2 Boiler, it was converted to oil before we moved into our house in 1974, soon after that my father converted it to gas with a 15mm feed to a new blower or the existing blower. We are in Kew London. In 2005 the house was gutted by fire and when restored the boiler was left standing and its surrounding inlet outlet pipes removed due to being lagged with asbestos. A combi boiler was then used.
In revamping the house we recently rewired the boiler to the mains and it started immediately after 22 years! I have purchased numerous Ideal guides on the K series Britannia boilers, but would like to know what external fittings can be used on the K2 as we need to add these again to make her run again. I would like information on a control box with a timer, and gauges needed and pressure valve. Can I ask if any members on this forum own a Britannia or service one as we would love to see it up and running and heating the home again. Thank you.
