Do I need a low pressure tap?

Doing some work in the kitchen and looking to replace the mixer tap with a pull out. We have an old house with a hot water tank in the floor above. Cold water is from mains, boosted by a Salamander Homeboost. This works ok. Question is, what sort of tap do I need to be looking at for the...

    Undermount Sink in 600mm Unit

Edit - ignore me, realised that theres room! We are replacing our laminate worktops with quartz and putting in an undermount sink. It's a 600mm cabinet and we would like to put in a Franke sink that's 550mm wide and supposed to be designed for 600 cabinets? I've read somewhere that it could...

What's this under my kitchen flooring?

It was a small leak from a dishwasher. We are certain this is what caused this as you can track the water. Definitely no under floor heating. We've been here for 20+ years. Worry is, if we repair this, what else might happen?

What's this under my kitchen flooring?

Had a leak a few months ago and shortly after, noticed something odd under the flooring. It got worse and worse over time. Peeled back the flooring and found this?!? It's like a cardboard tube filled with concrete that's spilt open. Very odd. It's about 5 or 6 inches wide, about 10 feet...

Ok, thanks. Just having a look for a suitable set of hinges that might make that work.

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

I think I am missg something. I've attached a pic of some pretty lightweight hinges I have outside. This is the same type of hinge on one gate and two sheds. They all need 30mm of post showing in order to fit the hinge? I cant see how I would do that if the gate is 900mm and the gap between...

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

The gate is 900mm wide, the gap as you say is about 915mm. I don't have the hinges to hand, but the other I have at home on gates/sheds need at least an inch to fit the hinge. I can't see how this would leave enough room to do inside?

The new one isn't really lending itself to modification ☹️☹️

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

Ah, that won't work then. As I say the gap between the two inner edges is only 915mm. The gates 900mm, so there isn't enough room ☹️

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

Thanks mate. So I will stick with my first idea, with your suggestion of coach bolts, SDS drill (not hammer), and that Bosch bit. When you say take into account the rebate, what did you mean? And that's lead me to remember I somehow need to fit some timber to act as a rebate. Any ideas? Just...

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

And just before I do buy the stuff...can I confirm I am not missing an easier solution. Heres a pic of the fence posts. There is an old gates that has just been leaning in the gap for 10+ years. Time to sort it! The gate shown is 900mm wide (seems to be standard. Gap between the posts is...

Fix Timber to Concrete Fence Post

Thanks - yes they are the green exterior. I'll have a look for the right size as the ones I linked to were 200mm and would need to be cut. Next query. I have my own mains combi drill and can borrow a SDS drill. Which shall I use and what drill bit will get me through the post with least grief!
