Christine, did you ever find a solution to this? We have exactly the same problem with our potterton suprima. Whever there is a storm and rain water comes in to the flue and then our boiler cuts out. I completely get that a solution has to be legal but I'm absolutely sure that is what the problem is, it is a bad design.
