Thanks. Sorry, I've not explained it very well. When you press down on the handle, the whole of the handle lifts (i.e. the old padlock currently in place isn't doing anything). I'm not sure fitting a new padlock would work as the same issue would just occur?

Thanks that's helpful. Yes it has a vertical riser going into a rain head. I will check the inlet filters and as we have got a shower pump will set if it has inlet filters that are blocked. As you say I'm expecting it might end up being a full replacement - let's see. Thank you!!
