Recent costs of disposing of old asbestos flue?

Recently I was asked what the likely cost of removal and disposal of an old asbestos cement flue might be.

This is at high first floor level and about 2 m tall. I would guess about 30-35kg weight and probably too heavy to remove using a ladder. So might need a few sections of scaffolding tower.

I had to answer that I have no recent experience of the likely costs.

So does anyone have any idea what kinds of costs might be involved?

On R4 today a private midwife was quoted to be about £12,000! Only needs to do one birth every three months at that rate!

Prices can vary from between 50p to £2 per kilo although some Councils will collect it for free while others have a fee so worth checking their websites.
Richmond Upon Thames, for example, charge £44 for up to 200kg according to .....
