The main oven on my Neff U1422 is tripping out the power. I disconnected the rear heater element, then the fan and it still tripped out, but when I disconnected the bottom element it was fine. My question is how do I get it off and out. It seems to be on a springy frame suspended from the oven body above. I’ve tried tugging it from behind to no avail so do I need to tip the oven on its side and remove it from below? The insulation looks tricky to move out of the way - I ended up coughing for an hour!

Thought they were spade connectors on their elements. I could be wrong

I've used E spares in the past and they do tend to be quick service / dispatch wise.

Thanks - they are simple spade terminals so I was able to disconnect the element without a problem. The eSpares 1300W element looks correct (it’s not the circular one around the fan), but the removal video shows a different cooker/mounting mechanism so doesn’t help.

Good news - I have replaced the bottom element and it now works fine.
Switch off all the electric!
Then pull out the oven and lay it on its side and remove the back cover and then the bottom cover (6 screws) (bottom is trapped by back cover). The plate for the external mains connection has to come off the bottom cover - leave cables attached.
Remove the heating element spade connectors.
The insulation is held in place by copper wire - tug the end that goes out through the “ring/loop” as it is only held in place by being bent over - nothing fancy.
Next unhook the stays at the back of the element mounting plate and it will swing out on the tabs at the front - and fall off.
Replace the element by pinging it out and in from the springy metal tabs (easy).
Refit everything, especially making sure the mains electric power “plate” is slotted back onto the bottom cover and screwed in with at least 3 screws as the thick cable puts a load on the fittings.
