Removing self levelling compound from floor

Hi,

I attempted to level a small 1x1m area of hall floor as the concrete slab wasn't flat enough for LVT.

Laid some self levelling compound down and all looked good but once dry, I realised it had pretty much followed the contour of the original surface. I've think I might not have laid it thick enough for it to level out.

So now I need to remove it as I don't have enough height to play with. It's very well bonded to the concrete so I'm literally going at it with a hammer and chisel and it's taking forever.

Does anyone have any better solutions for removing it?

Thanks

Hire a floor grinder. Don't know anything about them tbh.
Concrete floor grinder is another name

It doesn't have to be level, it has to be flat. So if it's slightly off level but not noticeable, then you could put more stuff down to fill the uneven bits until it's flat.
Just something to consider as that might be an easier option.

Tell us which product you used - always good to hear about one that sticks well.

You should be able to go over it with a "finer" product that will go as thin as 1mm on the high areas.
