8mm spindle

Hi all I recently purchased a new handle as old one was old and the 7mm spindle was spinning/slipping in the door mechanism. You could actually see through the spindle hole in mech where it had rounded off. I then put in a spare 8mm as these I have only seen on the past and it worked fine...
