wooden door, approx. 14 years old. The door won't fasten to the hinges. I've tried putting polyfilla to fill the holes where the screws go (but seems a bit of a bottomless pit) and I've tried packing the screw holes with cocktail sticks , to get a bit more purchase for the screws. It's worked...

Hi. In my house the upstairs internal doors are 680mm wide (2' 3"). I have a situation involving the door into the bathroom where one option (to solve a problem) is to reduce the size of the door width to 630mm (2' 1"). Is a bathroom door width of 630mm acceptable - in principle? Thanks.
