My sister’s place has aluminium doors fitted with euro cylinder locks. The cylinder sticks out significantly because the doors are thin. Even a cylinder with a 27mm external side (the shortest I’ve found) would still protrude, but does that matter in a metal door?

I would like to change my door cylinder since I suspect someone has a copy of the key which was left by former tenant (Yes I know, stupid idea. I should have changed it long ago).
Well I tried to remove the cylinder in order to measure and order a more robust one like this one...
Would you worry about putting a thumb-turn cylinder in a sliding patio door lock? In theory, someone could smash the double-glazing, but how much risk do you think it is?
Before you ask, I would only consider a decent anti-snap cylinder.
