I'm putting together a CCTV system for my parents house from scratch. I've already installed a fair bit of CAT6 cable in the past and I'm able to wire that fairly well and terminate the ends as needed.
The house is a typical detached 4 bedroom building and so I think 4 cameras should be more...
According to this page and TLC's printed brochure, the 50M and 100M cuts of the internal UTP CAT5e cable are CCA over 0.5mm Aluminium and are not pure copper.
Despite reading online that CCA CAT5e cable is non compliment, I can't find anything in the TIA-EIA-568-B.2 standard what says solid...
Bit of an odd one. I have 4 POE cams running to an NVR, all good up until a few days ago. One camera during the day just shows a white screen until night time when the infra red comes on then it looks fine.
