sealant removal

Hi All, So am replacing a pedestal sink and boy, did the installer of the old one like sealant! I’ve cut around and tried to dig out as much as I can but would it be wise to put sealant remover down the back for any that a Stanley can’t reach? I’ve checked and no missing bolts don’t worry...
