If running a 1.5 TC&E through an internal load bearing wall. Would you need wrap it with a steel conduit or similar, or is it OK to run it through the wall?

providing its more than 50mm from the surface, itll be OK unprotected (unless in an permitted area)

It's a horizonal hole, to extend the existing ring into the conservatory. Which will be in line, with fittlings etc.

Cheers

Quick correction, should have been 2.5 cable.

Dont know where the 13 amp comes from however.

you stated you were going to use 1.5mm² cable, which cannot carry 32A, the usual way to protect it on a ring main is to use a 13A FCU.

Dont think the cable needs protection, providing the route is marked on both sides by an accessory or blanking plate.

Yup, thats what I've done, and am doing for the lights and mains. Hence mixing up\combining the 2 previously!

I know the cable part is sound. Just wondering if it needed to be protected going through walls.

P.S. I dont mix mains and lights circuits, to take shortcuts. Mains are mains, and lights are lights!
