1 downstairs rad only on when others off!

Hi everyone,

I have a radiator in my living room that has been stone cold since I bought the house (last May). However, when I recently turned off a few of the radiators it suddenly came on. But when I turn the other radiators back on it goes cold again.

There is another radiator in the living room which is always on but this was added to the system as an after thought (by previous owners) and seems to share a pipe with the rad in the kitchen.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is the rad the furthest one from your boiler

Well the boiler is downstairs in the kitchen but the water tank and pump are upstairs in the bathroom. So it might possibly be the furthest away but if it was it would only be by a few feet.
