I am replacing the aged existing radiators in my bungalow and want to chase the pipes in the wall. I was planning on using 10mm (flow/return) JG speedfit inside 22mm oval conduit, with alu tape for pipe detection. Pretty straight forward thus far, however, the mrs wants the rads under the windows.

The problem is this; I can chase a vertical down one side of the window (which are 2M wide) but what do I do then? Do I cut a horizontal chase (create a L shape chase) to the centre of the window? Does this (horizontal chase) weaken the wall considerably?

Many thanks

Why not put 10mm plastic pipe into the wall with a plastic plaster guard over the top. Take a photograph and measurements before making good.

Quite important... What are walls made of and how thick are they?

Other than that just chase out and bond them in with some nail clips to hold them in place. Mix the bonding with a bit of dust (cement) and it'll cure in no time.
Chase down for both pipes together and then along horizontally to furthest valve, just above skirting height.
No need for conduit or shielding.
We do it all the time.
I'd personally do it in 15mm copper with duct tape wrapped round to protect from contaminants, but that's me!
