Hi I know you are probably sick of downlighting questions but I can't seem to find a definitive answer to my question. I an fitting 4 50w downlights in my bathroom (all ip rated showerlights) I have one transformer which is suitable for up to 250 w, it has four output blocks so each of the four lights has it's own cable running from the transformer. So to sum up ceiling Rose fed into 1 transformer with 4 outputs 1 twin cable per output. The longest output is 1.2 metres. I tried wiring it with 2.5mm cable I had in the garage but it's too thick for the output terminals on the transformer (the cable gets pinched when I try and put the cover back on. What size of cable would you all recommend for this ?? Is 1/1.5 sufficient ??

All advice gratefully received. Thanks

Though in the real world it is rarely used unfortunately

At that price for that much ( I only need about 4 metres) I don't think I will be using it either lol ! Thanks anyway

Shouldn't a flex/cable with a cpc be used?

According to the transformer instructions the input must be earthed to the transformer (this will be done) but the outputs must not be earthed only l+n required.

My mistake - I thought it was for the supply cable.

The link does say 'low-voltage'. I ought to know by now.
