Hey,

I'm planning to make 2 tall units, which will be hung (thinking french cleat) off the floor.

No shed seems to do 225mm wide MFC in 18mm. 225mm is almost the perfect size as it would mean no rip cuts - i'd prefer around 240/250mm, but 225mm is better than 300mm. I don't have a near enough timber yard that would cut and deliver it for a sensible price.

Rough dimensions are 1884mm H x 225mm D x 255-261mm W, outer. The back panel will be 15mm too so would make the internal depth 225mm - 15mm (back panel) - 15mm (cleat) = 195mm.

It's to match a traditional kitchen unit (minus door), so will be glued dowels. The intended use is cook books, bottles and maybe glassware, so net weight is going to be quite high. The top, bottom and mid-rail shelf will be fixed, with the rest being adjustable.

Will 15mm give enough 'left over' material using dowels? I'm not worried about shelf sag as it won't happen at only 225mm wide.

Thanks
