15mm vs 20mm pipes

Hi,

I'm about to get some Plumbeasy pipes and connectors, to fit from the mains water to my kitchen mixer taps.

They come in 15mm and 20mm diameters. Just curious - why are there 2 sizes of pipes? Different applications/uses? Which is normal for mains water supply?

Larger pipes are used where lower resistance of the pipe is needed. Mains is usually 15mm. The bigger size is 22mm, not 20.
