We have a 1940’s tile hung bedroom bay window which appears to have black/mold all over the inside, underneath the window.
Have checked the tiles and siliconed any gaps and made sure all flashing is secure.
There also appears to be a shadow of the interior battens showing through.
No evidence of damp on the floorboards below.
Some bright spark decided to artex that wall in the 70’s so to remove it to get a look is going to be hassle. So, before I go down that route is it possible that the tiles have just become pourous overtime and just needs a brush over with a coating?
If that is the case, who do I use? A roofer or builder? (Can’t reach it myself)
