1960 ex council vinyl type floor tiles

I have a really nice floor but the gripper rods have cracked the edges of the tiles. What is the best thing to fill these gaps and what paint could i use to paint the floor Thanks

They are almost certainly "Marley" thermoplastic tiles they contain asbestos, not a high risk material but on no account sand them to provide a key.
Not ideal to paint anyway, just cover with carpet again or laminate flooring.
