2 Neutral wires into 1 connection?

I have Live and neutral going to fan and Switched Live going from pull cord switch and the fan works OK.
But I also have neutral wire coming from pull cord switch, which is not connected, can I dispose of this wire or connect it into fan with the other neutral wire?

What makes you think this is a neutral conductor ??

A simple wiring diagram of your existing cabling would save a lot of time, oh and a few pic's for good measure too !!
