2 Way Switch - disconnected wire...?

Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of help!

I unscrewed a 2 way switch from the wall, and disconnected the light from the ceiling so the wall and ceiling could be re-plastered. I've just gone to screw the switch back to the wall and noticed that a wire has come free (see pic). Is this the same as is shown in the diagram below and should the blue wire go into the same connector as the black? I've also included a pic I took of the wiring to the light (I wish I'd taken one of the back of the switch too!). Would be most grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Yep blue in with the black and some red sleeving on the black blue and yellow wires to identify them as switched lives.
