2-way switch to dimmer

i have a 2-way switch in my dining room. i'd like to convert 1 of the switches to a dimmer. can i do that? how?

its eay, turn the mains off remove the existing switch, MAKE A NOTE OF WHICH COLOUR WIRE GOES WHERE and install new 2 way dimmer switch.

It must be 2 way, not one way, as you are in America i can not suggest wher you get one. sorry
