Hi

My wife's car is a 2000 1.0 Corsa.
It has just broke the o/s/f coil spring.

Obviously we need to replace a pair of fronts, but just wondering if it would be worth fitting a set of 4 lowered springs to try and improve the ride as it is a bit bouncy at the best of times when cornering.

Not looking for "boy racer" lowered look, just something a little bit stiffer to improve the ride.

Any advice would be appreciated

cheers

Hi Colin

Before you decide, I think you should have the shockers checked if it is bouncy, could be the reason for your broken spring !!

;)

its all a matter of personal taste,it will improve your handling but sacrifice the ride quality, does the missus want that?

It literally went through the MOT last month and the shockers were fine.
Coil spring broke on Friday.

Ride on the car has always been a bit vague so anything to tighten it up would be good

If you just want a slight improvement, try fitted springs from a slightly higher spec corsa, sxi?, anything more and you should really fit matching shocks...
