Hi everybody... This is my first post, and as you can see I'm not an avid Ford lover anymore! I've got a 2000 ford focus and I've had nothing but problems, most of which are defects that the manufacturers should have caught before this lemon got off the line!
Anyway, my current problem is with my doors... They work fine from the inside, but if i lock them when I get out, they will unlock with the key but won't open! The only way to get them open again is by using the handle inside! The doors are MANUAL, not electric, which is what most of the forums are addressing. It started with just the passenger side, but now they're both doing it and i just had to crawl in through the trunk to get the darn thing open!
My question is if anyone is aware of any recalls that may be relevant, or of any simple fixes that I might be able to try before shelling over a few hundred bucks to Ford to fix their own mistake? Thanks!
