2001 Megane coupe turns over but wont start.

I have had problems with my megane for a few months now, first it would intermittantly start, sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldnt, but with persistance it always seemed to start. Then finally it started first time one afternoon, only for it to just die on me after a mile of driving!.....ignition lights were still on, no warning lights. Ive tried starting it again only for it to turn over but not kick up. Ive fitted a new tdc sensor, but still no joy.......could anyone help me out here?

i take it you changed the crank shaft position sensor?

I think that is what he meant, there is sometimes a camshaft position sensor too.
