Hi guys, trying to get from 22mm galvanised pipe down to 15mm copper without a thread on the 22mm, is there a compression or push on fitting available? Thanks

I suspect you are referring to 3/4" galvanised steel pipe. In most cases you'll have to thread the end 3/4" BSP, then screw on an adapter to 15mm compression.
It all depends on what medium you have in the pipes, what pressure it's at, and how much of it you want to keep inthe pipe.:(
Can you weld? You could weld a 1/2" or 3/4"BSP socket onto the end of the galv pipe.

Yes it probably is 3/4 as it’s a 1960s house, just thought maybe there’s something like a jg speedfit push onto the galvanised? Maybe not?

The Philmac transition fitting will be the cheapest and quickest way to go provided:
1. its for water only.
2. both pipes are well clipped or secure - no movement if above ground.
3. you cant borrow a die for threading the galv. in-situ.

If you can unwind at the 22mm fitting you could use an adaptor to pick up the 15mm.
