22mm pushfit fitting onto 3/4"imperial pipe

Am I able to get away with this, or do I have to use compressions with an imperial olive?

i would use compression fitting imp olive.

use compression , use an imperial olive if you feel the need but copper olive or brass ones with the grove cut in them will do it

Possible, but not recommended. Hep2o make an imperial to metric pushfit adapter, you'll probably have to get your local merchants to order it in for you, but they do exist
