My kitchen cabinets are 25 years old, and some have been hacked about* for this reason or that. However, the doors are newer, and in good nick. Herself would keep the doors if she could.

Question: Are the volume cabinets likely to be standard enough to accept the old doors if I replace them?

How long is that bit of string!

*And newer cabs will have swisher, poncey storage solutions too!:D

25 years old? It should be made to System 32 standard sizes, then. Standard cabinet heights are 720mm and 570mm, standard widths are 300, 400, 500 and 600 (and 2 door cabinets are 800, 1000 and 1200mm which take two 400, 500 or 600mm doors respectively). Normally doors are manufactured 3 to 5mm undersized in the two directions, e.g you'd expect a 720 high x 500 wide cabinet door to be something like 715 high x 495 wide
