Hi all,

I have a workshop which is effectively a barn with a steel frame, steel tin roof and wood frame / shiplap cladding. I am looking at where SSEN will / wont install their 3 Phase Internal Cut Out / Meter. It states that it CANNOT BE in a wood frame building.

Any idea how I terminate 3 Phase from SSEN then? I could take it to the house instead but then I need to run cables all the way to the workshop whereas if the workshop has this terminated there, I run single phase back to the house as it only needs L / N.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Ive asked SSEN about this - clearly you would think a suitable box would work but the guidance is pretty adamant about 'no inside wood shed'. Let's see what they come back with.

Ah, thanks. So internal cannot go inside timber frame but external isnt restricted, got it.
