i have a damaged cooker switch which has a 30amp fuse at the board. i cannot seem to find a 30amp cooker switch. can i use a 45amp cooker switch with neon light instead. it is a cooker which plugs in and a ceramic hob which will be hard wired in. this circuit is on its own of course thanks

It's analogous to using a TV table which can take the weight of a TV heavier than yours, or tyres rated for a higher speed than your car can go.
