I plan to lay a 14mm engineered floor (B&Q Marcy - softwood ply with oak top layer) downstairs over a concrete floor.
It would be nice to use an underlay that is more insulating than the typical 5mm fibreboard, to loose less heat and have the floor feel slightly warmer to the feet.
Would it be wise to lay the boards directly on top of 30mm Kingspan GreenGuard GG300 XPS?
This is advertised as having high compressive strength (>300 kPa):
Recommended alternatives welcome.
