32 mm compression on 35mm chrome

Yes, McAlpine will. Sometimes there's plastic tube intended to go inside a plastic waste pipe, inside the comp female, which is just the "wrong" diameter, so you cut it out with a penknife.

Either end of compression won't get onto the 35mm crome. 32mm side or 40mm side.

32mm nut won't even get over the crome

The 40mm size works for 35mm. Just measured one.
Smaller ones can work if you take the penknife to the inner edge of the 32mm nut. Design may have changes since mine.

Hi Yes I took Stanley to the 32mm nut yesterday and got it on . Thanks

Got a another problem now. I got the 32 mm to 40mm conpression on amd drilled hole through plyboard for trap . Hit a joist and cannot move bath left or right due to space. Lucky ceiling is out below but I do not really want tp hack loads of the joist.

Can anyone advise if they think OK to use a flexi waste in this situation to get around joist

First photo took from below showing where waste pipe lands.

Or can I get a 32mm to 40mm conpression elbow to move horizontal abit and just take a notch out joist for compression fitting to sit in ?

Alter the position of the trap, where it connects to the bath,by rotating it to clear the joist.

If I rotate the trap 180. It clears a joist . However this goes above a cabinet in kitchen.

In original position the ceiling is out in kitchen below bath so I was going to connect below.

How do you connect above and leave for tiler if I rotate trap

As if trap is connected the tiler cannot get tile over. the waste. And once floor down around bath I would not be able to connect ?

Managed to get waste in.

Question now is I know nor ideal but I had to use straight conpression to convert from crome to pladtic. .

Then I used a push fit elbow to get out wall.. I could change the pushfi elbow to conpression.

But would you feel OK having these connection under floor. ?

If ever leaked I can easily get out them from below by cutting out the small section of pladterboard about 400mm x 40mm.

Support the horizontal pipe so it can't drop off the push fit elbow ,I would prefer a compression elbow if you can't use solvent weld fittings and pipe.

Yes I'm going to put timber supports in and clips.

I can change to conpression if better

I would personally use Solvent weld under the floor. You aren't going to get around at least one compression joint, (the plastic to chrome), but fewer joints that have potential to leak, the less chance of a leak. Just ensure the pipework is well supported so cannot move.
