I have a Twyfords syphonic pan, and need a new cistern. I notice that the back shelf of the pan, where the cistern sits, has four holes for fixing bolts rather than the usual two.

Can I get a cistern to fit, or is there a conversion plate that I need?

that's excellent, thank you (though the price is stunning).

It appears I am not alone with this problem, as the converter plate has been put on the market.

I have a feeling I will not be able to get a suitable cistern new, as it needs to be in the old large size, not a low-water-content one, as well as having four holes.

I see they also advertise (but out of stock) a Dudley Turbo 88 syphon which says it is suitable for syphonic pans, and may also be what I need. I did not know about them and thought I would need a separate syphon and "bomb" valve.
