Three arrested so far - it seems a woman went to make a cash deposit at her building society using notes which still had the Tonbridge label wrapper on them!

I heard that on the news at lunchtime. She walked in off the street and tried to open an account and deposit £6K in cash.

Just how dim is that?

only money????? 800,000 banknotes! and thats £50 notes! if its in £10 notes, imagine . . . !! It filled a 7.5 tonne lorry apparently. And it was in the depot on pallets, not in a vault or anything

But their greed is their weakness - they cant get rid of the money!!! Spent all that time planning . . . now its THEM with the security issues! oh the irony

They could always say they are plumbers - that would explain the amount of cash!!

am i talking garbage when i say they stole too much :?: greed will be their downfall and i cant believe that woman who deposited 6 K was in with it .. per BAS how dim P M

The sensible thing to do would now be to retire from the armed robbery business, get a job, and live a comfortable life and retirement by topping up with the cash to an extent that doesn't attract attention.

But nobody sensible enough, or restrained enough, to do that would have become an armed robber in the first place....

Does anybody know how much of the haul was in used notes?

i've just finished counting it. £33.584.250....

all in £50's

3/4 in used currency

Nobody will accept my £50 notes !!

someone here found a bail of cocain washed up on the beach reported it and it was taken away, It was worth ? loadsa money but how could he have cashed in on it? well he could'nt could he, but they said that it was probably chucked overboard when the coastguard launch turned up and I wondered about the cash, what if they slung the cash overboard and I found it washed ashore, how would you dispose of it? remember I live on an off shore island so I couldnt put it in the car and drive to watford with it. also I live here with 70 other islanders and they would notice instantly if I started to spend money,so what do I do?
