410 stainless steel or mid steel equivalent?

i need a part renewing on a mower which at the moment is 410 stainless steel 12% chrome, to replace the part the bar will cost from dealer £300+ i was hoping that i could hopefully find a mild steel equivalent to reduce costs, the bar is approx 12 foot long with 8 bearings along the length for a mower on the back of a tractor so it does need to be quite a tough piece incase of hitting unseen stones and bending the bar which is a no no

anybody got any ideas of a similar steel but a lot cheaper, i know from a local steel supplier i can get a bar for about £200

the cheaper it is the weaker it is, simples
