45 degree rule single storey

As I understand it, the 45 degree rule does not apply under permitted development, but what about a single storey extension outside of PD? Thanks

Depends on local planning policy

All planning applications are assessed against the council's planning policies, so if they have a 45° policy, then it applies.

Thanks for the replies. So an I still right in thinking that under PD, it's a national policy and the 45 deg doesn't apply?
