45amp pull cord help

hi ,

I have just installed a new 45 amp pull cord on my shower and i thought i had wired it like for like from the old one but the Neon stays on constantly ,what would cause this ??

and also can this cause a fire ???

You've swapped the Supply and Load terminals.

There's one of these every week.



If you look at the switch the terminals are clearly marked LOAD and SUPPLY.You have connected the load to the feed side of the switch and vice versa.

Turn off the power and swop the live and neutral cables over.

So i just need to change them round and it should work properly .

Oh well - at least he was lucky enough to rotate it 180°, not 90°...
