hi
I know this is asking a bit much, but could any of the electricians on the board give us an estimate on how much they think it would cost to wire a new 5 bedroom bungalow. We are not having anything special, maybe approx 10 l/v lights in the kitchen and the rest normal roses. We have an idea on materials but we are not sure on how long it would take the electricain to do it. Could you just estimate the labour costs please. I know its a bit vague but anyhting will help,
thanks

It is difficult to be specific, you say the bungalow is new, but is that new to you or new as in being built?

Realistically a complete rewire of an existing 5 bed bugalow should be completed, first and second fix, plus testing and certification in 4 to 5 days as a general guide.

If it is a new build, depending on construction technique you could either add or subtract a couple of days.

Cost will be somewhere around the £2200 mark.

Unfortunately this is as vague as your post..:D

This is not 100% finished yet, but may give you some ideas so you can get a better quote.

Always get 3 or 4, and never simply go for the cheapest. Ask all who quote to supply references, even if they are NICEIC registered. It is your home and your life you are puting in their hands.[/url]
