could anyone tell me why 6mm swa 3 core has a greater current carrying capacity than 6mm T&E?
Few reasons for differences, note the CCC always depends on the installation method.
SWA is a different construction to T&E
XPLE SWA is a 90 deg C cable hence it can take more current and run warmer, on the provision that it's terminations are rated to 90 deg C too.
PVC T&E is a 70 deg C cable.
so i can use a 40amp mcb as overcurrent protection for the 6mm swa?
