7 x 2 Floor Joist Span

Hi,

My first floor Joists are 7 x 2" and are spaced every 280mm what is the maximum span of these as some of the joists mat be spanning 5.2 meteres without support. The reason I ask.. It appears a section of solid wall has been removed and a stud wall put up in its place with a double doorway. Now this would have supported a few of the floor joists before. But not sure about this stud wall doing the same thing? There are no issues to report. I'm just curious weather a stud wall can be structural? thanks
