Hi,
I have an old imperial (approx) 1756 x 600 single with fins radiator which i plan on replacing for a type 21 radiator 1600 x 600 and using extensions to allow for the difference in pipework centres. My worry is that the 8mm microbore feeding the radiator is going to be too small to properly heat it. Its in my buy to let property and my tenant has asked for a double radiator because although the existing one is hot to the touch, its not heating up the room sufficiently. I have looked online and can see some tables showing max kw of 1.5 and others 2.5 for 8mm copper, i was just looking for others opinions?
Kind regards

Start at the start - have you calculated what size radiator the room actually needs? Arbitrarily replacing one for another without knowing if the new one is actually the right size for the room isn't very sensible. It might still be too small, and then you'll have spent a load of money on something that's still not doing the required job

Thank you, yes i did the calcs for the size of room and this new radiator is very slightly oversized when compared with the calculation. Do you know whether the 8mm feed will be an issue assuming the runs from the manifolds are not excessive?
