I am currently trying to drain a 150 litre thermal store in order to replace the top and bottom immersion elements and it is taking bloody ages running the water out via the drain-cock. As it drains from the body as well as the tapered nozzle I want to remove this permanently when the water is out so would anyone have any suggestions as to what might be used in its place to expedite any further emptying. For instance is it acceptable to fix a service valve with a cap end so the cap could be removed and a flexible hose screwed on to the sv and then left to drain?
Thanks for any advice.
