If we all buy one of these, polar bears will no longer die. They may also make those magnet things to stick on your electric cables to slash energy bills. Who's in?

The MyLondon link in the story gives a name to the product - "Govvi" GO fuel tablets - so for a start, no 'catalyst' was 'installed'.

...an interesting company, I wonder if their "Wellness" tablets are just as effective?

I downloaded the 'Research', so you wouldn't have to! ;)

I may not be looking in the right places, but I find it interesting that I can't find any 'Industry Expert' with matching credentials...

I also can't seem to find any legitimate research paper with the following title...

Catalysts can reduce harmful emissions - we know.
A unit to be fitted to a car has to pass a load of tests for type approval. His hasn't done, so the car fails. There endeth the lesson.

Oh, the GOVVI thing is full of BS.

Balls. Those magic spherical things that you're supposed to put in your tank to reduce your emissions and increase your MPG. :ROFLMAO:

Are these things still doing the rounds? Even Mike Watsit who used to be on the telly with Ed China was recommending them in some suspicious looking ads in the back of a tabloid years ago. Suppose some must buy them.

I'm sure a petrol head can comment, but he dropped his opacity to 0.09, but the Euro 6 upper limit is 0.08? So it still fails to meet ULEZ particulates after using fuel additives.

Also, the last I checked Oxford doesn't award subject specific engineering degrees. I'm suspicious of our magic bean salesmen.

This looks like a standard cleaning agent and octane boosting supplement. Nothing more.

Used to have an old workhorse that come MOT time had a small mixture of methanol and petrol in the tank...

Always just about scraped through the emissions test (y)
