What rule am I breaking when I post a link to an academic website containing a survey questionnaire?

Who is Mod 4 and is it them that are currently deleting so many postings without any explanation?

I don't know, and I think so.

In answer to your question, it was originally removed by another moderator as he explained due to the links etc that were in it. You may have a grievance with this decision, but littering the forum with repeatative posts the way you have done is not the way to sort it out. Obviously the web site owner has a vested intrest in what is placed on the site with regards links and advertising. He is however approachable and if he feels happy in allowing it then it can be reinstated.

As for the deletion of posts, i always place a warning on a post if it is heading the way of being deleted and will only delete it if the material or subject matter contained steps way over the mark. I have no knowledge of why certain ones have been deleted in recent days. It may be another mod has taken the action. i will try to find out.

AFAIR, only you have removed my posts containing the link to that website.

So I think it's reasonable to ask you why you did that.

The only reason I keep repeating the question is because it's not been answered.

Obviously the web site owner has a vested intrest in what is placed on the site with regards links and advertising.
Obviously he does.

But as there is no generic rule forbidding posting URLs, then the only reason for deleting such posts can be the contents of the specific site.

For the life of me however I cannot see what objectionable content or stealth advertising there is at http://XXX/, which is why I keep asking what rule I am breaking when I post that link....

Sometimes it pays to get your facts right and read before you start making accusations. Ive told you my reasons enough times, perhaps youd like to read the original post below

IIRC your reasons have been variations on "I deleted it because another moderator deleted someone elses and the reason for that was given at the time"

The post you quoted was not made by me, and when Lynda deleted it all she said was "Please read the forum rules", so no reason given there.

Well, I've read the forum rules, and I cannot see which one is contravened by posting a link to that site.

You must be able to, as once again you have deleted the link.

So once again I shall ask you to tell me which rule I broke by posting that link. And wouldn't it be simpler just to tell me this time?
