What is the difference in operation of a Vaillant Ecotec plus 412 boiler and a Vaillant Ecotec plus 418 boiler set to a maximum output of 12Kw?
The reason I ask is that have recently set my 418 to 12Kw max output as until it gets to autumn I’ll just be using it to heat my hot water with the odd couple of rads on in the evening if it gets a bit chilly - it worked fine last night and one thing I have noticed immediately is that compared to when it was set at 18Kw, the roar from the flue when running at full pelt is noticeably quieter at 12Kw (which is understandable) but does a 412 running at full pelt make the same roar as a 418 on full pelt or the same noise as a 418 set to 12Kw? Just curious.
