Edit: Old one is a 4 year old Alto with 11 months MOT. How do I know what its rough value is?

Sell the Suzuki privately mate - main stealers wont want it as they were very cheap new. Look at Autotrader for values. John

Honda Jazz is a superb car, we have one as our main car. But if you want a little charachter a Fiat 500 could be obtained for under £10k

vauxhall tigra tt is a great car if it's just for your wife to use, 2008 for under £10,000, holds value well, bit of a down side, they no longer make them.

Offered £1800-£2000 against jazz and £1800 against Mazda 2. Not bad considering the age of the Alto and the fact that it only cost us £5k new 4 uears ago. Test driving both tomorrow and the Micra and Yaris.

After a test drive in 6 different cars, Mrs B ( ) went for the Mazda 2 picking up £1900 trade in on the Alto.
