I posted over the Christmas period when the British Gasman came out to see why my system was cold and pronounced it dead as a result of sludge.
The estimate is £1468.30p for upgrade to fully pumped system and a power flush to boot. I have accepted this estimate, sent all the forms back and heard SQUAT.
Anyways in desperation I got an independant man in who had pipes up..and pipes down the system fitted a new pump..and nuffin luke warm radiators....See if it goes he says yeah says I....
Anyways a week later enter the house every radiator RED HOT, It lives again. Better now than ever. My delema is to go ahead with the upgrade (spose it can wait now) or is there a way to clean and flush this god damn piece of crap primatic system out, and make it last a few more years ?
Incidently Its about 3 weeks since I sent the forms into British Gas authorsing the upgrade, and heard NOTHING, good job the system has fired up again..we would have frozen in this weather. EXCELLENT service, I think not !
